Temvert Empowerment Foundation has been officially listed by the World Trade Organization among civil society organisations accredited to participate in the 14th Ministerial Conference of the global trade body scheduled to hold in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The organisation’s name appeared in the WTO document titled WT/MIN(26)/INF/14, which contains the final list of non governmental organisations granted accreditation to attend the conference. The document was released by the WTO Secretariat as part of preparations for the Ministerial Conference.

The 14th WTO Ministerial Conference, widely known as MC14, will take place from 26 to 29 March 2026 in Yaoundé and is expected to bring together trade ministers, policymakers, international organisations and civil society representatives from across the world to deliberate on key issues affecting the global trading system.

Temvert Empowerment Foundation is among the organisations recognised to attend the meeting as an accredited observer. The listing confirms the foundation’s eligibility to participate in activities organised for civil society organisations during the conference.

Reacting to the development, the Founder and Executive Director of Temvert Empowerment Foundation, Temitayo Olatunde, described the listing as a significant moment for the organisation and a reflection of its growing presence in international development conversations.

He noted that global economic and trade discussions often shape development priorities in many countries and it is important that organisations working at community level remain engaged in these conversations.

According to him, Temvert Empowerment Foundation will continue to follow global discussions that influence education, youth empowerment and economic opportunities for young people.

The WTO Ministerial Conference is the highest decision making body of the World Trade Organization and is usually held every two years. It provides a platform for member states to review the work of the organisation and negotiate matters relating to international trade.

Civil society organisations accredited by the WTO are allowed to observe proceedings and engage in dialogue sessions organised around the conference. The participation of NGOs also provides an opportunity for development organisations to interact with policymakers and international stakeholders.

The publication of the accreditation list places Temvert Empowerment Foundation among organisations from different regions of the world that will be present at the conference in Cameroon.

The development marks another milestone in the organisation’s growing engagement with international platforms as it continues to advance its mission of promoting education, youth empowerment and community development.
