Temvert Empowerment Foundation recently visited African Church Grammar School (AFROGRAMS), Ilesa, Osun State where sanitary pads were distributed to schoolgirls as part of the Foundation’s Campaign Against Menstrual Poverty Among Schoolgirls (CAMPAS).

The outreach was organized to support students with essential menstrual hygiene products and to ensure that menstruation does not become a barrier to their comfort or participation in school activities. During the visit, representatives of the Foundation met with the students and carried out the distribution of sanitary pads to the girls.

The students welcomed the initiative warmly. Many expressed gratitude for the support and were visibly excited as they received the sanitary pads. The distribution created a cheerful atmosphere, with smiles and appreciation from the students who felt encouraged by the gesture.

The project was led by Olaide Margaret Adetoye, who coordinated the outreach and distribution at the school. She noted that providing sanitary pads to schoolgirls helps promote dignity and confidence among young girls during their menstrual periods.

Commenting on the initiative, Temitayo Olatunde, Founder and Executive Director of Temvert Empowerment Foundation, stated that the CAMPAS project reflects the organisation’s commitment to addressing menstrual poverty among schoolgirls. He explained that many girls still face challenges accessing basic menstrual hygiene products, and initiatives like CAMPAS are designed to provide practical support that helps them remain comfortable and confident in school.

He further noted that the Foundation will continue to expand the project to reach more schools and support more students in communities where such needs exist.

Temvert Empowerment Foundation appreciates the cooperation of the school management and remains committed to initiatives that support the wellbeing and education of boys and girls.
