… becomes a beneficiary of our Emeanua Austin Scholarship Scheme

Adekanbi Oge, is a girl whose father is no longer in the picture from an early age, her mother migrated from Abuja to Abeokuta when she was 6 months pregnant with oge and since then, she has been struggling to take care of her and 4 other siblings and barely makes ends meet with the menial chores that she does for people and local dry gin that she sells which is the source of income for the family.

She managed to sponsor Oge throughout primary school, but unfortunately, she isn’t financially capable to further her education to secondary school. The burden of feeding the kids and the economic woes are too much for Oge’s mother. Oge stopped going to school and was enrolled at a hairdressing shop.

Temvert Empowerment Foundation; located Oge and committed N250,000 to bring Oge back to school and help her actualise her dream. With this N250,000 scholarship for Oge, she has now been enrolled at Brace Up the Young School, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Oge is now back to being a student.

She has benefited from our Emeanua Austin Scholarship Scheme; a scheme named after Mr Emeanua Austin; a USA consulate staff; for his commitment towards youth development and his all round support for Temvert Empowerment Foundation.

We appreciate Mr Emeanua Austin for the support in ensuring this scheme became a success.
